This policy explains what information may be collected when you use the Sounds of Nikud website, what it is used for, with whom it may be shared, and what options are available to users.
The site is an educational service for practising letters, nikud, numbers, and addition. Regular practice on the site does not require an account and does not create a personal profile of a child or student.
This English version is provided for convenience. If it differs from the Hebrew version, the Hebrew version prevails.
1. Who operates the site
The site is operated by Sugar Sweet Apps. In this policy, “we” or “the site operator” refers to Sugar Sweet Apps.
2. What information we collect
The learning activities themselves do not require a name, email address, user account, payment details, or medical information.
The site itself does not collect or store payment-method details. Payment for a paid service is made through an external payment platform: payment details are given directly to that platform and handled under its privacy policy. We may receive a purchase confirmation from the platform, such as a name, email address, the service purchased, and the amount, in order to provide the service and issue an invoice or receipt.
If you contact us through the contact page or the tutor request form, we receive the name, reply email address, and message content you choose to provide. With a tutor request we also receive a mobile number (if provided), the study area, the lesson type, the selected grade, and your acceptance of the Terms of Use.
As is usual for internet services, infrastructure and security providers may process limited technical data, such as IP address, browser type, request time, and security data, in order to deliver the site, prevent misuse, and fix problems.
3. How we use information
- to reply to enquiries, correct content, and provide technical or accessibility support;
- to pass a private-lesson request to a suitable tutor and allow the tutor to contact you;
- to operate, secure, and improve the site and the contact forms;
- to comply with legal requirements or protect rights, users, and our systems.
4. Children and learning
The site is suitable for children’s learning activities, but the contact forms are intended for a parent, guardian, teacher, or other responsible adult. Please do not send unnecessary personal information about a child, health information, passwords, or other sensitive details.
If we learn that a child’s personal information that is not needed to handle an enquiry was sent by mistake, you can contact us and ask for it to be deleted.
5. Service providers and sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may pass information only to providers and parties needed to operate the requested service, within their role and as the law allows.
Cloudflare provides network, security, Turnstile, and email delivery services for the contact forms. Information may be processed in countries where these providers operate, subject to the safeguards that apply to them.
With a private-tutor request, the request details (name, contact details, study area, grade, and message) are passed to the private tutor you are referred to, so that the tutor can contact you and arrange the lesson. The tutor is independent and is not our employee or partner, and is responsible for how the tutor handles the information after it is passed on.
6. Cookies and browser storage
When you visit the site, a short notice about the technologies it uses is shown. After you select “Got it, close”, a local value is saved in your browser to record that the notice was acknowledged, so it is not shown on every visit. The acknowledgment does not block features and does not turn other services on or off.
Necessary security components, in particular Turnstile on the contact forms, may use cookies and similar technical means needed to prevent abuse. As of this update, the site’s code does not run optional advertising or analytics systems.
You can remove the acknowledgment by clearing the site’s data in your browser settings. If optional analytics or other technologies are added in the future, we will update this policy and the notice accordingly.
7. Retention and security
Enquiries are kept only as long as reasonably needed for handling, follow-up, security, and legal obligations. When they are no longer needed, they are deleted or de-identified, subject to backups and legal requirements.
We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no internet system is completely secure. Please do not send sensitive information that is not needed.
8. Rights and requests
You can contact us to ask to see, correct, or delete personal information you provided, subject to the law and to reasonable verification of the requester’s identity.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy following changes to the site, our providers, or the law. The date of the update appears at the top of the page, and material changes will be shown on the site in an appropriate way.
